SearchPros Turns 20: From Scrappy Recruiters to Nationwide Talent Powerhouse (With Fewer Fax Machines)

This year, SearchPros hit the big 2-0. That’s right—20 years of resumes, interviews, job offers, high-fives, coffee-fueled staffing miracles, and yes, even a few awkward candidate stories we’ll take to the grave.

We launched back in 2005, when flip phones were hot, our leads came from the “want ads,” LinkedIn was just a baby, and “remote work” meant you might call in sick and check your email once. Armed with ambition, a pile of yellow pages, a couple of desks, and a passion for connecting people with opportunities, we started as a recruiting firm determined to do things differently—faster, smarter, and with fewer generic buzzwords like “synergy.” Over the years, we’ve seen every résumé trick in the book—Comic Sans fonts, “Proficient in Microsoft Word” listed as a skill, and once, a photo of a candidate with a parrot on their shoulder (they didn’t get the job, but the parrot was very qualified).

What started as a small but mighty team helping local companies find great people has grown into something much bigger. Today, SearchPros is a global full-service Managed Service Program (MSP)—which is a fancy way of saying we help organizations manage all things workforce: hiring, suppliers, compliance, vendor management systems, and everything in between. Think of us as the talent traffic controllers, but with less runways and more spreadsheets.

Through two decades, we’ve weathered economic rollercoasters, the rise of remote work, and that one time someone thought “staffing agency” meant we provided party planners (we don’t, but we do know how to throw a great office potluck).

We’ve proudly placed 20,000+ people in jobs nationwide. That’s 20,000 happy dances (give or take)! 20,000 times we have told someone “Congratulations on your new Position” – A family supported, a dream reignited, a future redirected.

Along the way, we’ve grown with intention. We embraced technology. We scaled our team. We outgrew office spaces. We said goodbye to putting white out on resumes and fax machines (finally). And through every hiring boom, economic dip, and awkward virtual meeting, we stayed grounded in the same belief that started it all: the right people can change everything.

And they have.

Our success has always come down to people, our incredible team, our visionary clients, and the talented professionals who’ve trusted us with their search. From call center representatives, mortgage loan processors, alligator wranglers, aerospace engineers and executive leaders we’ve matched people with meaningful jobs across the country, and we’re not slowing down anytime soon.

So, what’s our secret to 20 years of success? It’s simple: people. The incredible individuals who trusted us to find them opportunities. The companies who counted on us to bring in top talent. And of course, the amazing team at SearchPros who kept the magic going—armed with coffee, spreadsheets, home made salsa and a sixth sense for spotting a résumé typo at 50 paces.
